Some footpaths in the Parish are closed for UK Power Networks overhead powerline work when there are local signs in place. Please respect the closures for your own and the workers safety.

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (STRO10843) affecting the C205 Station Road from its junction with C342 Gissing Road for 596m eastwards in the PARISH OF BURSTON AND SHIMPLING to facilitate Anglian Water new connection works.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 28th to 30th May 2024 for the duration of the works expected to be about 3 days within the period.

Alternative route is via: Station Road, Burston Road, Dickleburgh Road, Ipswich Road, Diss Road, Victoria Road, Park Road, Denmark Street, Shelfanger Road, Sunnyside, Heywood Road, Durbidges Hill, Crown Green (Diss, Heywood, Dickleburgh and Rushall, Scole, Burston and Shimpling).

If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order. Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention. In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. The team dealing with enquiries at Norfolk County Council is South Area Streetworks (Community and Environmental Services Department) contactable by telephone at 0344 800 8020 or email at streetworks@norfolk.gov.uk. NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (STRO10888) affecting the B1134 Long Row from its junction with C350 Cherry Tree Lane for 2614m in the PARISH OF TIBENHAM to facilitate surface dressing works by Norfolk County Council.  The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 30th May to 14th July 2024 for the duration of the works expected to be about 46 days within the period. Alternative route is via: Station Road, Ipswich Road, Tivetshall Road, Diss Road, Victoria Road, Park Road, Stanley Road, Shelfanger Road, Church Road, Winfarthing Road, The Street, Short Green, Mile Road, Heath Road (Pulham Market, Roydon, Tibenham, Diss, Gissing, Heywood, Winfarthing, Dickleburgh and Rushall, Scole, Tivetshall, Shelfanger, Burston and Shimpling, Aslacton).
